Hello dear Yasemin,

I hope you and your husband are doing well. It was really great meeting you when I visited my Mom in Atlanta. I really loved your energy and excitement for life!

I just finished reading your book about Grandma Squirrel. Thank you for it. I love your writing style! It is such a sweet and uplifting story. I love the optimism of Grandma Squirrel. She is a very positive person, and so are Floret, Chestnut and Bloom. They are great role models. I loved their curiosity and smiled when they said “Yayy” and “Yessss!” It is very positive for children to hear their optimism. 

I especially love the message about jealousy. Such an important lesson to learn but not easy to teach. You taught it in a very creative and fun way! I wish I had this book when my children were little. 

I also really loved the recurring theme about how we are nature! You described nature so creatively. The paragraph on page 10 where you talk about the whispers of nature made me picture it... so beautifully worded!

Thank you again for the book and I can’t wait for the next time we see each other!
