My Third Book 'JAZZY STATE OF MİND ' Read Comments.

Recently I had the privilege to read your third book, “Caz Halleri” translated by Bora Kacar into English, “Jazzy State of Mind”. I found the translation really amazing; easy to read, which is not always the case, but yet the book captures the depth of the original text and communicates your true thoughts. The Question and Answer format is an excellent approach to truly communicate your real thoughts, with the depth of your life’s experience and yet well understood by the reader.George T. Brooks

I like the way granny helps them invent their time machine and understand their emotions. For jazzy state I fancied the term 'nothingness' for loss of youth and how you describe moments of loneliness ELENİ ANTONİADOU

Hello Yasemin, I wanted to say thank you for giving me your book. I read it and it was nice to gain more insight into your life and personality. I especially liked what you had to say about ritual vs. routine. Matt Abramo

I wanted to let you know that I read Jazzy State of Mind while on vacation in Hilton Head two weeks ago.  I really enjoyed it and learning about you through your jazzy-style format of improvisation.  I thought the Q & A methodology  was an effective way of examining some basic questions about your life and reminded me of the Socratic style used, or in many cases attempted to be used, in law school.  Congratulations and thanks for letting me read it.

Too deep ..very honest .Your book makes one contemplate their thoughts .You are challenging ..You are giving them  challenge to think himself ..Challenger everyone ..you can do .. you are inviting to challenge  ...you are laughing yourself ...You have not followed anyone ..Like muscles you ran your brain .Olen Hancock

Yasemin’s book “JAZZY STATE OF MIND” shares her thoughts as challenging. For example, her thoughts about routine verses ritual is challenging the “common thoughts” of routine where Yasemin’s ideas of ritual should be “normal” not routine. Yasemin’s words and ideas force you to CONTEMPLATE your own life, which she packages, in an easy to understanding way, the difference between ritual verses routine. Yasemine’s book of thoughts and ideas “open up” as she progresses forward with her life’s experiences. Even though she is sharing her deepest thoughts, you start to understand her ideas as you progress forward though her book.Olen Hancock

Yasemin's first book, Madness of the deep, for someone to understand how she dealt with her life's difficulties. Her second book, Every Angel has its Demon, is a book of short stories for fun reading. Her third book, Jazzy State of Mind, a narration format that discusses her views on a number of subjects about her deepest feelings.George T.Brooks

Yasemin and Tolga,
I noticed yesterday watching the potential reader, and hopefully buyer, of Yasemin’s books, wandering which book they should consider buying. So, I thought, maybe we could help them decide which book to read from the three they have to choose from to buy.

I thought Yasemin's first book, "Derinlik Deliligi", Madness of the Deep, would provide Yasemin’s thoughts on how she has dealt with the difficulties of her life. A book for anyone who has had to deal with the difficult times of their life and contrast their response to Yasemin’s way of dealing with her difficulties of her life.

The second book, Hangi Melek Dinlemez Seytanini, Every Angel has Its Demons, is a book of short stories for some enjoyable easy reading and yet a perspective on how Yasemin has dealt with those humorous times.

The third book, Caz Halleri, Jazzy State of Mind, is a narration format that deals with questions posed to Yasemin and is answered from her perspective that gives you her deep feelings on a number of different topics. I feel that the real value of Jazzy State of Mind, would best be served if read at a younger age, so that the individual could consider Yasemin’s thoughts and feelings at a age when her thoughts could positively affect their life in the future. If you read Yasemin’s thoughts at an older age perhaps there would not be as great an affect compared to the possible changes if experienced earlier in life.  George T.Brooks

... and all the good and inspiring work... have added them to my to do list... . Esin Uslu

Reading your wonderful book Thank you ! You are brimming with talents I am enjoying reading your book tha you sent ,
Jasmine! I think the format of question and
answer is interesting. So I gather you don't
approve of routine! I never gave it much thought.
But I certainly am bound up in routine myself!
It's a well written book. Bravo! I will comment again
when I finish reading it...

This is your daughter's neighbor in Decatur.  I read your book and found it fascinating.  Given retirement, I found the routines and rituals particularly interesting.  Yep, routines are good, but you point out "People committed to routine don't think much."  It is a reminder of the daily work routine of just trying to live around work time and the feeling of relief at the few moments of escape to theatre, celebrations, music, etc.  Such good insight.

Loneliness was quite good and the digital era is providing not only angst but also loneliness in such an odd way - always in touch with your phone as other.  Pointing out the various types of loneliness among women - and men - provided some thoughtful moments, although some of the happiest older women I know are now living alone and doing what they want - so different from youthful and middle aged pursuits I think.

One of the things about the book is that it is written more in a different cultural style and takes a minute or two to get into the rhythm of the writing.  That is not a bad thing, but one that always take me awhile to get into as I read.  Healthy for the brain.  The photos gave the final shape to the narrative - thank you for those.

Again, thanks for sharing.  Hope to see you on Sycamore Drive ANNİE ..
